I try to keep up with politics as much as I am able; thankfully, X is an excellent platform to stay appraised on both the narratives in the mainstream media as well as smaller, more reliable news sources. At any rate, when I heard that Kamala was going to do an interview with Fox, I committed to watching it in its fullness. I am glad I did.
There were three main observations that stuck out to me:
Kamala appears to view Trump as the ultimate boogeyman—no matter what the issue is, it is almost certain she will blame Trump for it.
Kamala understands what to say to appease her audience, but her words are hollow and she doesn’t know enough about the things she is saying to give supporting statements and examples of what she says she is promoting and will do.
Kamala will say whatever she thinks she must say to to win the favor of her listeners, regardless of the truthfulness of what she is saying.
Relating to my first point: I am sure it doesn’t need much explanation, but, for some reason, Kamala is blaming our current issues mostly on Trump and refuses to acknowledge that the current administration has been in office for almost a full term; not only that, but she refuses to acknowledge that their administration had undone what Trump‘s administration had to keep the border under control. I have a hard time trusting anyone who can’t admit when they are wrong, and Kamala does not seem to accept responsibility for any of the problems we are facing today, despite her role as vice president.
Relating to my second point: Kamala’s performance reminded me of a person interviewing for a job above their pay grade. They know technically what the role is and how to answer the standard questions, but they can’t meaningfully wax eloquent on the specifics of the role and how to implement the strategies that they can verbally address. I think this is one of the main reasons why she is doing so poorly in the polls—people can sense her superficiality and it makes her very unattractive to the normal person.
Relating to my third point: Kamala was floundering in the interview, and she said some things that weren’t entirely consistent with the reality of her prior career. I saw a video online of her calling 18-24 year olds stupid, despite her affirming in the interview today that she would never say such a thing about the American people.
Is Trump perfect? No; however, by all appearances, he is much better equipped to be leading the country and he doesn’t appear to be a public puppet like Kamala is. We need a president who can be under fire and not go down; we need the kind of president who is not going to cave into the insanity that the leftists are trying to shove down our throat; we need a president who isn’t going to look like a deer in the headlights when their teleprompter doesn’t work. My earnest hope is that Trump wins this election, but if he doesn’t, God will still be sovereign and Christ is still on his throne.
Amen Nicholas. A number of my relatives have yet to grasp that without a transcendent foundation of Christianity, their Conservatism is simply the trailing edge of liberalism, like a couple of guys dragging their feet on the back of a train trying to slow it down.
